Welcome to The Burnsville Boho Barn! Our newly renovated barn loft/studio apartment is located on our 2.5 acre farmstead, where we raise chickens, ou r three tiny humans, and garden. The barn was recently bare bones, but with a dream and a little bit of umf, we got to work designing and building our ~800 sqft, spacious and cozy barn loft studio apartment. The barn features a modern green and brown bohemian style with plenty of amenities for you to enjoy. Our farmstead is located: - 5 minutes from Burnsville, NC - 35 minutes from downtown Asheville - 30 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway - 45 minutes from Johnson City, TN - 50 minutes from Grandfather Mountain in Linville, NC - and many more local attractions The Barn **PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING PRIOR TO BOOKING OR SENDING INQUIRIES** Inside the barn loft: The barn loft features a queen size bed with a queen size memory foam mattress. The space is open-flow, set up as a studio apartment. There are no doors in the barn aside from the bathroom pocket door. The bedroom space features a large picturesque window to enjoy the wooded and farm views. The space is equipped with a small collection of books and games, as well as a Smart TV with all of the popular streaming applications (Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, etc.). Guests are welcome to log into their streaming app accounts to watch movies and television. No traditional cable service or DVD player is provided. The kitchenette is equipped with a plug-in stove/hot plate with two burners, a retro mini-fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and drip coffee maker. The kitchenette is also stocked with cooking utensils, pots, skillets, and small baking items, dishes, cutlery, and glassware. Please wash the dishes and kitchen items you use during your stay. Basic cooking items such as salt, pepper, oils, sugar, creamer, coffee, and tea are provided. Guests are welcome to use the firepit outside of the barn in the gravel area. Guests must provide their own firewood. The bathroom features a large tiled shower, bathroom sink, and a toilet. Towels are provided. Water comes from our mountain spring fed well. Wireless internet is provided. It is reliable for streaming on the tv, or personal digital devices, as well as working remotely, however we do not guarantee it. We live in a rural area with limited service providers and there are times when the signal is not as strong. Please be aware of this. Local coffee shops also provide free wifi should you want or need to venture out. Outside of the barn: Below the loft is a three stall barn. Currently, we are not boarding any animals in the stalls. The barn is located on our 2.5 acre farmstead where our small family of 5 also reside. We provide as much privacy to barn guests as we can, and provide and outdoor space for our guests to enjoy. The barn is located in close proximity to our livestock. Our animals do make noises. Roosters crow, chickens cluck, rabbits thump, pigs oink, dogs bark, and children scream and play. We ask that you consider all of this before booking. If you are not comfortable with being near animals or think they may disturb your stay, our barn may not be the best option. If you are comfortable with our animals, we welcome you to say hello to them. Please be cautious as we do use electrified fencing to keep our animals safe. NEVER touch electrified fencing and never feed animals without our permission. Please also use caution walking around our property as we are always working on a project. The field also has some large holes caused by the spring that runs underneath. Our property is located on a short dead-end private gravel road. We have three neighbors that use the road to get to and from their homes. Traffic and noise is generally minimal but it does exist. To get to the barn, please drive behind our personal home to access guest parking. We have enough room to accommodate two cars in the barn parking area. 4-wheel drive vehicles are recommended, especially in the winter months as snow and ice are common. The paved road from the highway to our gravel road is maintained and salted when there is ice or snow and is passable all year long. There is a mini-split heater/air conditioner available to you to set the space at a comfortable temperature during your stay. Upon leaving, we ask that guests turn the heat down to 65. Guest Access During your stay, you will have access to the entire barn loft space. Prior to your arrival, a lock code will be sent to you for keyless entry. Please make yourself at hOMe ;) Additional Information Smoking is NOT allowed (of any kind) in or around the barn or anywhere on our property. It is a smoke-free space. This is strictly enforced. Smoking will result in a fine of $200 and immediate checkout. Pets - Unfortunately, at this time we cannot accept pets as guests. We love animals and understand the desire to bring your pet with you on vacation.
